Designers Raveena and Srijana’s ‘Bonfire’ collection took inspiration from the traditional textile and the weaving patterns of the North East. The designers used the fabric ‘Muga’ which is a mixture of Eri silk and Muga silk. The collection comprised garments that gave a vintage feel and the colours were natural, ranging from gold, ivory and beige. The collection played around the theme bonfire which is an inseparable element during happy times in the North Eastern region. Thashika speaks to the designers about their collection and more.

Ravina and Srijana’s collection Bonfire is unique in many ways,first because it uses materials that have never been used by any designer before;second because it is created by perhaps the youngest designers of India(they are doing their masters in fashion technology,third because the collection celebrates minimalism at its best without sacrificing the beauty factor making it go beyond all barriers and universally appealing.Brilliant work!The girls sure are going places.God bless them forever.
