Experimental Bride Guide: Episode III

Have you ever wondered accessories play a crucial role in completing your wedding look? The Experimental Bride Series will help you unravel the complete ensemble. In this episode we will be talking about the Accessories: how can you look pretty without overdoing it, how to strike a balance between your makeup/apparel & accessories and much more.
You can keep these 5 rules in mind while trying to nail the Experimental Bride look:
Balance Out: You can balance your ensemble along with your makeup before your D-day by opting for a heavy necklace & bare ears or vice-versa. Try to avoid wearing everything as it might look stuffy. You can sport minimal ears if you have heavy work on your choli and a hefty maang tika.

Contrast: Costume jewellery and semi-precious stones give you more room for experimenting your attire. The tone of jewellery can be different from your clothes. Try to wear contrasting jewellery with your wedding lehenga/saree. You can pair up an emerald necklace with a beige/pink coloured outfit as green pops up against pink and beige. Similarly, you can pair up rubies with green, yellow or an off-white lehenga. If your outfit is pastel in colour than pearls and colourless stones come to your rescue!

Make a statement: Since you are the bride, you’ve got all the focus on you! You can experiment your look by pairing a statement jewellery with your wedding outfit. A statement piece can be a headband or a crown jewellery, a cocktail ring, a heavy embellished wrist watch, pair of adorned earrings or a bedecked neckpiece. Remember not to overdo the look.

Quirk Factor: We agree that you are the sober bride, but who is stopping you from adding a little fun to your wedding? While having a wedding photo shoot try adding quirky props like a pair of dark sunglasses (Kala Chashma! Aha!), a sequinned belt or funny call outs!

Flowers to the Rescue: Dump traditional flowers like roses & marigold and go for exotic flowers like Orchids, Peonies, Sunflowers, Gerbera daisies and Carnations to complete the hair accessory on your D-day.
